Department of Geography faculty are educators, entrepreneurs, and leading researchers in many facets of Geography and Geographic Information Science (GIS).
Our department collaborates across many programs at the IU School of Liberal Arts and the IU Indianapolis campus. These partnerships include work in medical geography with the School of Medicine, environmental research, international projects like those in Sicily, and advanced drone technology through the Center for Aerial Unmanned Systems Imaging.
We also have a long-standing partnership with the Geography Educators' Network of Indiana, or GENI, to promote the value and significance of geography in Indiana.
