Department of Communication M.A. in Sports Journalism Scholarship
Overview
The Department of Communication M.A. in Sports Journalism Scholarship was created by the Department of Communication to provide funding for an incoming fall 2026 graduate student. Funds will assist multiple graduate students with a documented intent to pursue an M.A. in Sports Journalism.
Selection Criteria
- Have documented intent to pursue the M.A. degree in Sports Journalism
- Available to both full- and part-time graduate students
- Available to both in-state and out-of-state students
Selection will be made by Department of Communication faculty based on applicant's academic record and how well application prompt is addressed.
How to Apply
- Provide your contact information with a cover sheet.
- Each application must include an essay on how "pursuing a graduate degree in this field is important to your future goals." (maximum 500 words).
- Please submit the information to jjbute@iu.edu for consideration.
